Fayetteville State University Student, Ashley Boyd of New Bern, NC Selected to Serve as Chancellor for a Day

Ashley's enthusiasm for Fayetteville State University is contagious and Bucking Broncos was the first organization that she joined on campus. Ashley noted that she felt very blessed to be a Global Scholar and gives back to the university, students, and the community through active participation in campus organizations and through volunteerism in the community. She has served as Vice President of the Freshman Class Council, Treasurer of the Gay Straight Alliance (F.L.A.M.E.), Parliamentarian for Phi Eta Sigma.

As a Business Marketing major, Ashley serves as an intern with the Small Business and Technology Development Center, completed summer research as a McNair Scholar, and won first place with her event at the Phi Beta Lambda National Leadership Conference. Additionally, she is a Resident Assistant, a member of the FSU Marketing Club, serves as a volunteer for the Student Government Association, the Bronco Women, and was selected as the 2015 Toyota Green Ambassador for her recycling work with FSU's Green Team.

A native of Newbern, NC, Ashley aspires to attend graduate school, become a Production Analyst, and, specifically, a millionaire by time that she is 45.
