FSU Recognizes McNair Scholar Acceptance in Graduate School

The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program at Fayetteville State University (FSU) is pleased to announce the acceptance of Chiquanna Anderson, a 2015 FSU McNair Scholar, into the Master of Arts (MA) in Ed. In Special Education for Children with Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities (CEBD - Elementary Program) at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. She will begin summer 2016. Ms. Anderson was also accepted in the Master of Science (MS) in Psychology program at Tennessee State University.

The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program Is named in honor of Dr. Ronald E. McNair, the second African-American to fly in space and one of the seven-person cred who died in the ill-fated Space Shuttle Challenger on January 28, 1986. It is one of the TRiO programs federally-funded by the U.S. Department of Education to provide a comprehensive Ph.D. preparatory program for first-generation, low-income, and/or underrepresented minority college students to pursue graduate studies.
