In fall 2017, Alexis Jackson of Fayetteville completed the Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA+) at Fayetteville State University achieving the mastery level of Accomplished. The CLA+ is a national assessment of critical thinking and written communication-two skills essential to success in higher education and careers. A mastery level of Accomplished indicates that a student goes beyond the skills expected of a successful college graduate, ready to move on to a professional career or graduate education, to show exceptional proficiency.
